Why have a blog when you journal is already online?

This is the question all the editors at VG are asking. Why, exactly, do we have a blog? Well, hopefully, you will be able to answer this question.

Our main idea for this blog is to create a space where writer and reader can interact and discuss both the craft and the crafted. Right now, Deborah Marie Poe and myself (Cannon) are planning on having a conversation about her piece, Fragile Magnets, starting sometime in August. When this strand is started readers should feel free to ask questions, respond and discuss. Hopefully, other conversations will follow after Deborah’s.

Our next idea is to use the forum as a space where the reader can talk to the editors. Ask us questions, make comments about the journal, tell us what you feel would make the journal better. Maybe even open a space where people could vote on what content should be put in our next issue.

Now it’s up to you. Tell us what you want, what you need, what makes you tick. We’re up for anything.
